Oscar Cortés Arenas is an artist of multidisciplinary working; Architect and Magister in Theater and Live Arts. He has taken part in artistic residences in Colombia, Canada, Argentina and Mexico, where the notion of body, gender and city are present in the setting-up for site-specific performance, art video and experimental singing; his artistic research aims to transcend and transgress aspects of social life and policy communities where he realizes interventions.

 

He has obtained two scholarships for outstanding artistic given by the Ministry of Culture of Colombia, awards given by the Secretary of Culture of Bogota, he was invited by La Chaire de recherche du Canada, dramaturgie sonore au théâtre of the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi, and he took part in the XIV Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Bogotá with Vividero Colectivo.

Oscar Cortés Arenas es artista de formación multidisciplinar; arquitecto y magíster en teatro y artes vivas. Ha participado de residencias artísticas en Colombia, Canadá, Argentina y México, en donde la noción de cuerpo, género y ciudad están presentes en instalaciones para site-specific performance, video arte y canto experimental; su investigación artística busca trascender y trasgredir aspectos de la vida social y política de las comunidades donde realiza intervenciones.
